When Penny Dale’s illustrated version of the classic nursery song “Ten in the Bed” was first published, it caught the imagination of families everywhere and quickly established itself as a bedtime favourite. With more than two million copies in print thirty five years later, it continues to be enjoyed by children the world over and has become an essential title for every child’s bookshelf.

In 2018 Ten in the Bed became the first CBeebies bedtime story to be read and signed in Makaton.
